Data Backup is an integral part of your business continuity plan.  It ensures that you can recover from damages to your office in the event of fire, flood, etc.  It also enables you to recover data, which may be lost due to problems with your systems such as disk drive failure or other hardware problems.  Finally it allows you to recover an old file, which may have been inadvertently deleted or written over.

The best method for data backup is to backup files onsite and simultaneously offsite over the Internet.  The reason for this is the speed and ease of recovery in situations when there is no catastrophic damage to your office but your network disk drive fails or a file is lost.  In these situations you can recover all of your data from the onsite backup very quickly.

However, if your office is inaccessible for whatever reason, data is recovered from our offsite location.

The offsite/onsite data backup configuration also means that data backup does not interfere with the speed of you system.  Data backup is to the onsite server without any impact to your system and backup to the offsite data centers can be scheduled during off hours.

Benefits:

  • Eliminates the time consuming work, which your firm spends on backup up data.
  • Reliability - many firms backup their data but never test to see if it can be restored.
  • Eliminates missing, damaged backup tapes
  • Data is always available both on and off site
  • No interference with day-to-day operations.
  • No need to shut down the system to backup
  • Ability to easily restore a mistakenly overwritten file
  • Ability to recover from a disaster.
  • Highly cost effective by minimizing storage requirements.
  • Selective backup scheduling on a file-by-file basis if desired.
  • No impact on speed of your system.
